For centuries log home living has been the norm in Norway where temperatures
even in the south can be as low as -20C. A Norwegian log cabin and log home
manufacturer must provide exemplary service and world beating products if it's

Our log cabin and log home kits are uniquely based on their patented building
elements called ‘Saga Panels’ that are used to form the walls. These come in
three forms, the basic Saga Panel, a panel with a fully fitted and glazed window
and sill, and one that includes a complete door and doorframe assembly. The
exterior of each Saga Panel is completed with our manufacturer's exterior
'wilderness finish' which is cut from 100 year old (sustainable) pine forests,
and is extremely dense and durable.

 

Saga Panels can easily be handled by two people, even though the weight of an
average log cabin is around 10-12 tonnes. The assembly of a log cabin requires
only two people and just a few days for the main structure (log homes take a
little longer). The result is a building every bit as solid and secure as a
traditional brick built house.

 

The Norwegian timber our manufacturer uses is from completely sustainable
sources, it’s very high quality, has fewer knots per foot, doesn't twist and is
properly kiln dried.  This is vital, because without good timber, you have
nothing.  It's perhaps because of all this that, when searching for log cabins,
you'll probably find many companies able to produce smaller structures such as
end-of-garden log cabins, but far fewer with the technology and capability to
design and manufacture multi-storey log cabins and log homes.
